Jess has worked at I Choose Freedom since 2020.  

Jess started her journey with I Choose Freedom as a Domestic Abuse Refuge Advocate.

After a short time at I Choose Freedom, Jess worked her way up to Senior DARA and now is the Acting Service Manager of one of our sites which supports 19 families.

Before working at I Choose Freedom, Jess studied Law & Criminology at University and volunteered with Victim Support. This gave her a real insight into domestic abuse and how complicated and significant it was in today’s society. This made her really passionate in supporting those who have experienced it, but also working towards national change.  

"The most rewarding part of working with I Choose Freedom is getting to support our families and see them walk out of refuge 6 months later knowing they are safer, happier and free. My job is made even better by being surrounded by such amazing colleagues who all work extremely hard to make a difference to these families."
