Charlie Booth

Trustee

Charlie worked as a senior leader in the charity sector for over 14 years for both local and national charities before moving into project management for Surrey County Council. She has experience across strategic planning, business change, fundraising, marketing and relationship management.

Charlie has always been passionate about equality and social policy, which was reinforced after studying for a Masters degree in gender and culture at Goldsmiths University. She has volunteered for a variety of different organisations over the years and previously served on a Trustee Board for 3 years before joining I Choose Freedom.

"When I first learnt about I Choose Freedom and their vision to end domestic abuse, I knew I wanted to help in anyway I could. I’m really excited to work with Charlotte and the team to make a difference to survivors and their families. I see the Refuge for All project as a progressive and essential addition, providing sanctuary and support to anyone who needs it."

Charlie loves anything creative and always has an art or craft project on the go. She is an aspiring ceramics artist taking classes whenever she can and would love her own pottery studio one day. She is married with two boys at home who keep her fit by cycling faster than her usual leisurely pace.
