Carolyne became a trustee in 2021.

She is a full time mother of 3 beautiful children and a Student but also a survivor of domestic abuse. She is an outgoing, confident woman and cares deeply for those around her. She enjoy sharing her experience to help others, but also enjoys making life long memories with friends and family.

Why did I become a Trustee?

"It is the small things we do that make a difference in a woman's life. Being a Domestic Abuse survivor I understand how crucial and important a refuge is to a woman and children in danger of domestic abuse. It is during my stay at a refuge that I became equipped with the knowledge to help myself and ignited a passion to help others just like me. Through my situation, I felt all those other women that experienced what I had, I want to help  women that are in a desperate situation in any way I can because I believe we all deserve to live to fight another day. I relate and feel their desperation for freedom and I want to keep my light burning to help guide those who desperately need it."

Her interests include travelling and experiencing new places and cultures, gardening to relax the mind and reading educational/motivational books.
